Creamy Fudge… say no more!
Makes 54 Blocks
INGREDIENTS
1kg granulated sugar
225ml water
3 cans condensed milk
150g butter
45ml golden syrup
Pinch of salt
5ml vanilla essence
METHOD
Dissolve the sugar in the water over a low heat.
Add the remaining ingredients, stirring continuously until the fudge turns a ‘toffee’ colour and when a blob is dropped in cold water it forms a firm ball.
Remove from the heat and beat with an electric beater until thick.
Pour the mixture into a well greased foil lined baking tray.
When almost set score the fudge into blocks, and allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces and serving.
